Product description
The device is a passive field distributor for the fieldbus systems Profibus PA and Foundation Fieldbus H1. The device is approved for use in explosive risk zones in Zone 1 or Zone 2. The device is certified according to FISCO (Fieldbus Intrinsically Safe Concept). Functional description The device connects up to eight intrinsically safe FISCO field devices of explosion protection type Ex-ia with an intrinsically safe fieldbus segment of the same explosion protection type. The device supports earthing concepts with multi-point screen earthing or single-point screen earthing. The earthing concepts are explained in the Profibus PA and Foundation Fieldbus guidelines.
