• All metric sealing plugs have a thread pitch of 1.5 mm. • In Ex nR applications, the KSPMH must be fitted with a further seal. • To obtain the specified IP rating, the through hole must comply with the regulations of EN 50262 Table 1 and it should be possible to secure the sealing plug in a suitable manner. • Operating instructions are enclosed with each sealing plug; these must be read prior to installation. The sealing plugs must be installed according to the specifications in the operating instructions. • On installation of the KSPMH, the minimum number of engaged thread turns in line with the standard EN/IEC 60079-1, Section 5.3, must be observed. • With NEC / CEC applications, it must be ensured that the inner thread of the connection device into which the sealing plugs are screwed reveals at least 8 fully engaged thread turns. • If KSPMH sealing plugs are inserted into non-metallic Ex e connection devices, they must be connected to the system's earth circuit.
