La serie VPU II de protectores de sobretensión de Weidmüller protege las instalaciones de consumo de baja tensión y los equipos electrónicos de las sobretensiones que se pueden producir debido a descargas atmosféricas (tormentas) o maniobras de conmutación (transitorias). La serie VPU II cumple los requisitos establecidos en IEC 61643-11:2012 para los tipos 2 y 3 así como lo dispuesto en EN 61643-11:2012 para los tipos II y III. Los descargadores de repuesto están codificados y únicamente pueden insertarse en las bases apropiadas.
